CUSTOM CALLIGRAPHY FOR WEDDINGS

When addressing invitations, avoid abbreviating words, except Mr. and Mrs., or Dr.  If the guest is in a relationship, list the other person's
name on the envelope. If the person is single, but wishing to bring a guest, do not include on outside envelope. Write: "Mr. Doe and Guest" on the inside envelope. Do not use first names on the inside envelope, unless you wish informal titles to be used such as, "Uncle John and Guest," or "Mom and Dad."  Children in a family are listed on the inside envelope only.

Be assured of the finest work; I have doing calligraphy for over 30 years.

Postal regulations include the state in the Postal Zip Code. It is not necessary to write out the state.  There is no period after the state, as it is part of the code.

If you will be sending invitations to military guests, check the protocol for their titles; this differs in each branch of the service.

For the calligrapher, you should have your list of names and addresses printed or typed as they would be on the envelope. Add the names to be lettered on the inside envelope. These are usually "Ms. Johnson"--no first name,or less formally, "Aunt Mary."
Be sure to buy extra envelopes in case you have forgotten someone, and also to give the calligrapher some extras for human error.

If you have to add more addresses, they can be faxed to Jacqueline.
